Kordi Devonshire was a rising young country star. Her manager, Carl, got her the best gig yet and she was sensational...performing mostly new songs that she has been writing on the road.
In the dressing room after the show, she was elated with her success. Carl wished her will. She truly loved Carl--if it was not for him, she would be nowhere.

As she started sounding out a new song she had been working on, Chris came in. He was producer that she had been writing songs for. He would pay her a small amount for those songs and use them to help his girlfriend singing career.
